摘要：Se analiza la relación entre dos dimensiones civilizacionales: formas culturales y expresión política. Se hace referencia a los aportes que sobre esta problemática ha proporcionado la sociología clásica, en particular Durkheim y Weber. Igualmente se revisan los formulados por la teoría de la transición (Gino Germani, Torcuato Di Tella) y los contenidos en el libro editado por Lawrence Harrison y Samuel Huntington, Culture Maters. How Values Shape Human Progress. Se presta especial atención al concepto de capital social. Asimismo se discute la relación entre universalismo y particularismo en términos del debate teórico presente en la filosofía política contemporánea y se formula una hipótesis explicativa sobre la situación política actual que enfrenta Venezuela.
其他摘要：The relationship between two civilization-based dimensions are analyzed: cultural forms and political expressions. References to theoretical contributions by Emile Durkheim and Max Weber in relation to this theme are made. In a similar manner the debate over theses themes in the theory of transition (Gino Germani and Torcuato Di Tella) is reviewed, along with the contents of the book edited by Lawrence Harrison and Samuel Huntington: Cultural Matters: How values Shape Human Progress. Special attention is given to the social capital concept. Likewise the relationship between universalism and particularism is discussed in terms of the contemporary debate carried on in modern political philosophy. Finally an explanatory hypothesis is formulated concerning the Venezuelan political situation.
