摘要：Este trabajo explora el efecto que tiene la migración internacional y las remesas sobre las actividades agrícolas y la distribución del ingreso en una comunidad indígena que recientemente ha masificado su migración internacional. Se emplearon modelos para relacionar variables agrícolas contra factores productivos, socio demográficos y de financiamiento a la migración en el hogar, asimismo, la descomposición del coeficiente de Gini se utilizó para determinar el efecto que tienen las fuentes de ingreso sobre la distribución del ingreso total de la comunidad. Los datos provienen de una encuesta aplicada en el año 2005, en 35% de los hogares. Los resultados muestran que la migración internacional impulsa la producción agrícola y la recuperación de tierras, aunque no incide sobre la demanda de trabajo agrícola ni la ganadería. Por su parte las remesas impulsan la ganadería y la recuperación de tierras abandonadas, pero no influyen en la demanda de trabajo ni la producción agrícola. Además las remesas tienen un efecto negativo no significativo sobre la distribución del ingreso total en la comunidad
其他摘要：This paper explores the effect of international migration and remittances on agricultural activities and income distribution in an indigenous community that has recentlymassified its internationalmigration. Models were used to relate agricultural variables to productive, social, demographic and migration financing factors at home; also, breakdown of the Gini coefficient was used to determine the effect of income sources on the distribution of total income in the community. Information comes from a 2005 survey in 35% of the households. Results show that internationalmigration does not affect the demand for labor in agriculture or raising livestock, but it does promote agricultural production and the recovery of abandoned land. Remittances promote the livestock industry and abandoned land reclamation, but do not affect the demand for labor or agricultural production; they also have a negative, insignificant effect on total income distribution in the community
