摘要：Este artículo aborda en su primera parte algunos conceptos significativos para el estudio de la Iglesia rioplatense colonial y de la primera mitad del siglo XIX. En la segunda y tercera secciones se presenta un esquema general de las etapas del proceso de disolución del régimen de cristiandad indiano entre fines del siglo XVIII y la segunda mitad de la siguiente centuria, y se proponen algunas líneas de investigación que el autor considera importante desarrollar a partir del estado actual de los estudios.
其他摘要：The purpose of this paper in its first part is to discuss some issues that are significant in the study of the River Plate basin Church from colonial times and from the first half of the XIX century. In its second and third part, this paper presents a general structure of the steps and main points in the process of dissolution of the Spanish American Christian regime throughout the XIX century. Also, the author gives some suggestions for research that the current historiography has not dealt with yet
