摘要：Este artículo explora algunas de las variables explicativas del territorio indígena del noroeste de la actual provincia de Córdoba partiendo de las fuentes coloniales tempranas (siglos XVI y XVII). Desde un enfoque etnohistórico, pero recuperando las investigaciones arqueológicas realizadas en la zona hasta el momento, se analiza la particular forma en que las sociedades indígenas accedieron a los recursos y delimitaron sus derechos a éstos. La necesidad de fijar espacios de exclusividad de unos grupos respecto de otros no anuló la posibilidad de la negociación y redefinición de los territorios. En este sentido, los caciques cumplieron un rol fundamental para el establecimiento de las alianzas y pactos intergrupales donde el intercambio de mujeres habría sido un aspecto central. La particular forma que adquiere el territorio indígena constituye un aspecto esencial para dar cuenta de las condiciones de posibilidad de reproducción social entre las poblaciones nativas en el período inmediatamente anterior a la conquista española.
其他摘要：This article explores some of the explanatory variables of the aboriginal territory in the north-east area of today’s province of Córdoba, starting from early colonial sources (16th and 17th centuries). From an ethnohistoric point of view and retrieving the archeological investigations carried out in the area until the moment, we analyse the particular way in which the aboriginal societies had access to the resources and defined their rights to them. The need to establish the exclusive fields of some groups with regard to others, did not cancel the possibility of negotiation and re-definition of the territories. In this respect, the tribal chiefs played a fundamental role in the foundation of intergroup alliances and agreements where the exchange of women would have been a main issue. The particular way the aboriginal territory acquires, constitutes an essential factor to explain the possibility of social reproduction among native settlements in the period previous to the Spanish conquest.
