摘要：El artículo discute críticamente el proceso de institucionalización de la educación intercultural bilingüe (EIB) en Chile. Describe y reflexiona sobre su dinámica en el Ministerio de Educación: la conceptualiza y hace un recorrido legal, histórico e institucional del programa de EIB (PEIB) del Ministerio desde la década de los noventa a la fecha. Sustenta que se requiere aún más investigación, pues existe información escasa sobre sus impactos reales en las instituciones estatales, la participación social, los movimientos indígenas, la propia educación intercultural en su aplicación pedagógica, así como sobre los aportes de instituciones del Estado, la academia y la sociedad civil e indígena.
其他摘要：This article proposes a critical discussion about the institutionalization process of bilingual intercultural education (educación intercultural bilingüe, EIB) in Chile. The author describes and reflects on its dynamics at the Ministry of Education, conceptualizes it and gives a legal, historical and institutional outlook of this program from the nineties until now. According to the author, this program needs more research, since there is still too little information about its actual impact on the state institutions, social participation, indigenous movements, the intercultural education itself in its pedagogical application and on the contributions of the State institution, the academic world and the civil and indigenous society.
