摘要：Neste artigo apresentamos os resultados de uma pesquisa que objetivou analisar a produção científica acadêmica sobre a educação jesuítica no Brasil colonial utilizando a abordagem bibliométrica. As unidades de análise do estudo constituíram-se das teses de livre docência e doutorado e das dissertações de mestrado defendidas em instituições de ensino e pesquisa do Brasil. Elegemos como fonte de pesquisa as bibliotecas digitais de teses e dissertações existentes no país, pois estas são fontes importantíssimas para o mapeamento da ciência brasileira. O estudo bibliométrico permite afirmar, entre outros indicadores, que existe um crescimento notável na produção científica acadêmica sobre a educação jesuítica no Brasil colonial presentes nas bibliotecas digitais brasileiras.
其他摘要：In this article we present the findings produced by the research into the academic and scientific production related to the Jesuitical education during colonial times in Brazil. The research has been carried out taking a bibliometric approach. And the material examined consisted of theses completed as part of a doctorate or in the frame of free teaching, as well as of master degree dissertations defended in education and research Brazilian institutions. According to this, digital libraries have been our main source of information, since they are one of the best repositories of both theses and dissertations, and also give information on how Brazilian science has evolved over time. It can be stated that the bibliometric study we made shows a noticeable improvement in the academic and scientific production within the Jesuitical education in Brazil during colonial times.
