摘要：El artículo presenta, en principio, un marco conceptual y teórico concreto (sobre todo en relación al desarrollo regional y a la organización y estructuración del espacio) como referentes básicos para mostrar, a través de un proceso histórico-geográfico, cómo Andalucía y Estonia han venido comportándose, no sólo como periferias físicas y/o espacios frontera en el contexto de Europa, si no también como periferias económicas desde el momento en que se perciben territorialmente de forma diferenciada y se estructuran en función del poder político que les domina.
其他摘要：The article presents a principal conceptual framework to discribe the historical geographical processes in Andalucía and Estonia, especially with regard to the regional development and organisation of space. Both regions have been peripheral in the European context not only in physical sense, but also in economical. The article studies the formation of territorial identity and spatial differences since they started to distinguish between themselves and the other regions of the dominating nations.
