摘要：El desarrollo rural pretende garantizar a la población del medio agrario unas condiciones de vida equiparables a las de las áreas urbanas. De aquí la importancia de contar con agentes capaces de generar iniciativas que con - tribuyan al desarrollo de las comunidades rurales. Entre estos agentes destacan las cooperativas agrarias debido a su especial vinculación a la población rural y al territorio donde se asientan. El estudio del rendimiento de estas organizaciones está adquiriendo gran relevancia, máxime teniendo en cuenta la problemática de su medición asociada a sus peculiaridades. Efectivamente, en la medida en que las cooperati - vas agrarias sean eficientes podrán contribuir a mejorar el bienestar de la población rural. En este contexto, el objetivo de este trabajo es conocer la bondad de la técnica del Análisis Envolvente de Datos (DEA) para medir el rendimiento de las cooperativas agrarias. Los resultados del estudio empírico realizado con los datos de 108 cooperativas agrarias demuestran que el cálculo del rendimiento mediante esta técnica es un buen complemento del análisis económico tradicional de las cooperativas agrarias
其他摘要：The intention of rural development is to guarantee the population of an agricultural environmenta set of living conditions that are comparable to those of urban areas. This is why it is so important that there areagents capable of creating initiatives that contribute to the development of rural communities. These agents includeagricultural cooperatives, due to their special links with the rural population and the rural areas in which they arebased.It is becoming increasingly important to study the performance of these organisations, particularly when weconsider the problems involved in measuring this as result of their peculiarities. In fact, the degree to which agri-cultural cooperatives can contribute to the well-being of the rural community depends on their efficiency.In view of this situation, the aim of this paper is to explore the advantages of Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) as a technique for measuring the performance of agricultural cooperatives. The results of the empiricalstudy carried out using data from 108 agricultural cooperatives show that calculating performance by means ofthis technique proves to be a satisfactory complement to traditional methods of economic analysis of agriculturalcooperatives
