摘要：Se discuten algunas de las problemáticas implicadas en el tránsito de una sociedad multicultural, como México, hacia una sociedad del conocimiento. Su relación con el conjunto de indicadores que es preciso construir para estimar los avances y orientar las políticas públicas con el fin de conducir a la nación hacia ese tipo de sociedad. Se enfatiza la necesidad de trabajar en la conceptualización del modelo de sociedad del conocimiento que el país requiere.
其他摘要：This paper discusses some items related to the transition of a multicultural society, as México, into a knowledge society. It is remarked the importance of constructing the set of indicators needed to messure the real advance of the nation to this kind of society. It is also focused on the need to work on the conception of the model of knowledge society required by the country.
