摘要：El artículo presenta un estudio aplicado del proceso de producción del espacio turístico en ambientes sensibles, el cual está desarrollado mediante un escenario comparado entre Cozumel, México y Cayo Las Brujas, Cuba. Se fundamenta en el análisis de la singularidad de los pequeños sistemas insulares tropicales receptivos del turismo litoral, en correspondencia con su alta vulnerabilidad y niveles de protección requeridos. Partiendo de este enfoque se identifica la zona costera como elemento estructurador del destino turístico. En función de ello se valoran la dinámica geoespacial del desarrollo turístico sobre el litoral y la organización del sistema de turismo, como marco que permite interpretar desde una visión crítica fundamentada en la sostenibilidad, los modelos turísticos implantados en términos de impactos actuales y potenciales. Sobre la base del escenario comparado construido se formula el diagnóstico y se ofrecen recomendaciones para la proyección estratégica que hará posible la gestión del desarrollo sostenible en Cayo Las Brujas.
其他摘要：This article presents an applied study of the process of production of tourist space in sensitive environments. The study is developed using compared scenarios between Cozumel , Mexico and Cayo Las Brujas, Cuba . It is based on the analysis of the uniqueness of the small tropical islands as receptive spaces of coastal tourism, in relation to their high vulnerability and the required protection levels. With this focus, the coastal area is identified as a structural element of the tourist destination. As a result, the spatial dynamics of the coastal tourist development and the organization of the tourist system are assessed within a framework based on sustainability, allowing the interpretation of current and potential impacts of the established tourism models. On the basis of the compared scenarios a diagnosis is presented and recommendations are given for a strategic plan that will make the management of sustainable development in Cayo Las Brujas possible.
