摘要：Este artículo define las coordenadas del pensamiento de Vargas Llosa, arguyendo que sus ideas, obviamente inseparables de su narrativa y del mayor contexto occidental, no son el objeto de una atención matizada. La consistencia ideológica del autor yace particularmente en las razones de su presunto "giro conservado" y en general en la autocrítica e independencia que lo convierten en parte de un puñado de intelectuales públicos latinoamericanos con influencia en Occidente.
