摘要：El trabajo reflexiona sobre los desafíos que plantean a la universidad las crecientes e intensas demandas ejercidas por la sociedad nacional, por la denominada sociedad del conocimiento, por el mercado de trabajo, y aún por los gobiernos. En opinión de la autora se trata por una parte, de asumir la complejidad y reconocer los núcleos críticos que requieren una discusión profunda y una construcción de consenso en torno a su atención pues está en juego el propio ethos de la institución. Por la otra, reflexionar sobre lo que constituye el verdadero nudo gordiano, esto es, cómo activar el cambio que resulta indispensable pues de nada sirve continuar defendiendo un modelo atemporal de universidad pública sin reconocer sus zonas grises, sus logros y sus fracasos, sus hipocresías y sus falencias
其他摘要：The paper reflects upon some of the challenges that university has to face: from the growing and intense demands displayed by the National Society, to those of the so-called Knowledge Society; the World Market, and governments. On the one hand, the author believes that the matter is to assume the complexity and recognize the critical points- which demand to be deeply debated. The important thing is to understand that to come to an agreement is essential for the survival of the very same ethos of the institution. On the other hand, she reflects upon the real issue under debate, that is to say, over how to activate the change which is crucial because there is no point in going on defending a Public University Model that transcends time and space, without recognizing its failures and achievements, its hypocrisies and errors
