摘要：A proposta deste artigo consiste em delinear a concepção de universidade no filósofo francês Jean François Lyotard. Esta construção teórica tem sua razão de ser em si, mas, a um só tempo, nos possibilita a apreensão do processo de mudança do conhecimento em mercadoria no contexto em que a contradição modernidade/pós-modernidade tem seu primeiro pólo predominante no fim do século XIX, fragilizando-se em razão do movimento do capital, cedendo, finalmente, sua predominância ao seu antitético na década de 1950. As conseqüências para a ciência e para a universidade são profundas: a ciência torna-se uma força da produção capitalista enquanto a universidade torna-se uma instituição assemelhada à empresa capitalista de Estado ou não.
其他摘要：The aim of this paper is to show the conception of university in the French philosopher Jean François Lyotard. This theoretical construct hasits reason for being in itself, but at the same time, allows us to seize the process of change of the knowledge in goods in the context in which the contradiction modernity/post-modernity has its first and predominant pole at the end of the century XIX, is weakening due to the movement of capital, giving, finally, its antithetical to their predominance in the 1950s. The consequences for science and the university are profound: the science becomes a force of capitalist production as the university becomes an institution similar to enterprise capitalist state or not.
