摘要：Trata-se de uma reflexão sobre os pressupostos metafísicos e epistemológicos subjacentes à pesquisa em psicologia. O trabalho está dividido em três partes. Na primeira parte discute a importância da filosofia para a investigação social em geral, dando ênfase à pesquisa em psicologia. Na segunda parte, o cerne do artigo, reflete-se sobre três pontos específicos: primeiro, qual a especificidade do objeto que queremos investigar? Qual seu estatuto metafísico (ontológico)?; em segundo lugar, quais as implicações (pressupostos) presentes nessa mesma prática investigativa? O que está implícito, o que carregamos conosco, ao fazermos pesquisa?; finalmente, uma reflexão sobre a linguagem e a realidade a que essa linguagem se refere. Na terceira parte, a intenção é escolher algumas técnicas de pesquisa, determinados instrumentais empregados nas atividades de investigação e deixar-se surpreender sobre seus pressupostos tácitos e suas implicações. O artigo conclui com algumas considerações sobre a ética na pesquisa.
其他摘要：The paper presents a reflection on the metaphysical and epistemological assumptions of psychological research. It is divided into three parts. Firstly, it discusses the importance of philosophy for social research in general, emphasising research in psychology. Secondly, the main part of the article, a reflection is made on three specific points: what is the specificity of the object one is supposed to investigate and what is its metaphysical status?; what are the assumptions present in this specific investigative practice and what is implicated, what is carried along, in doing research; finally, a reflection is conducted on the language and the reality this language supposes. Then, it analyses the assumptions underlying the research object and practice. Finally, some research techniques are discussed, pointing to their advantages and shortcomings, having in mind the assumptions implicit in these instruments. The article ends with some considerations on ethics in research.
