摘要：El presente artículo se centra en Sir Raymond William Firth quien fue una de las figuras de la antropología británica del siglo XX. Nacido en Nueva Zelanda, economista primero, inglés por adopción y antropólogo por convicción, Raymond Firth se destacó como uno de los precursores de la antropología económica inglesa. En un recorrido por su vida, el presente ensayo pone de relieve las influencias que marcaron su obra, sus principales conceptos y sus contribuciones a la disciplina.
其他摘要：The present article is centered in one of the main figures of British Anthropology: Sir Raymond Firth. He was born in New Zealand and studied economy there, but he was British by adoption and anthropologist by conviction and finally he became one of the initiators of the English economic anthropology. Highlightening moments of his life, the present article discovered the influences in his work, his main concepts and his contributions to anthropology.
