摘要：El presente artículo se ha dedicado a explorar la trayectoria académica del antropólogo social británico Meyer Fortes. Afiliado al estructural Funcionalismo de Radcliffe-Brown, los intereses principales de Meyer Fortes giraban en torno del estudio de la política y la religión a la luz de los sistemas de parentesco. Sus investigaciones exhibieron una sólida metodología en el trabajo de campo, factor fundamental para que el legado de Meyer Fortes trascendiera su tiempo.
其他摘要：The present article explores in the academic trajectory of the social anthropologist Meyer Fortes. Affiliated to the structural functionalism of Radcliffe-Brown, the main interests of Meyer Fortes were focus in politics and religion under the kinship systems. His investigations exhibited a solid field work and a strong methodology making Meyer Fortes¿s legacy transcended his time.
