摘要：Fundamento: el propósito de los programas de educación en las infecciones de transmisión sexual es proveer a estudiantes del conocimiento y la destreza que le permita comportarse de forma responsable y por consiguiente proteger su propia salud. Objetivo: elevar el nivel de conocimiento sobre las ITS/VIH/SIDA en los jóvenes seleccionados después de intervenciones educativas en la Facultad de Tecnología de la Salud Octavio de la Concepción y de la Pedraja. Método: se realizó un estudio experimental de intervención para elevar conocimientos sobre ITS/VIH/SIDA en la Facultad de Tecnología de la provincia Camagüey en el año 2007-2008. El universo de estudio estuvo integrado por cuatrocientos veintidós jóvenes, la muestra estuvo constituida por doscientos uno de ellos. Para la selección de la muestra se utilizó el método aleatorio simple, las variables utilizadas fueron: edad, sexo, primeras relaciones sexuales y nivel de conocimiento. Resultados: predominó el sexo femenino durante el estudio, los conocimientos sobre las ITS/VIH/SIDA en la primera encuesta fueron de 56,21% regular, 38,32% mal y sólo el 5,42% bien. En la segunda encuesta se obtuvo resultados alentadores luego de las intervenciones educativas donde el 92,6% fue evaluado de bien y el 7,4% de regular, no existió ningún estudiante evaluado de mal. Conclusiones: hubo mayor participación de estudiantes del sexo femenino en el estudio. Se observó un inicio precoz de las primeras relaciones sexuales en las edades de doce a catorce años fundamentalmente en el sexo masculino.
其他摘要：Background: the purpose of education programs on sexually transmitted infections is to provide students of knowledge and the dexterity that allows them to behave in a responsible way and consequently to protect their own health. Objective: to elevate the level of knowledge on STI/HIV/AIDS in youths selected after educational interventions in the faculty of Health Technology at Octavio de la Concepción y de la Pedraja . Method: an experimental study of intervention to elevate knowledge on STI/HIV/AIDS from 2007 to 2008 was conducted. The study universe was integrated by four hundred twenty-two youths, the sample was constituted by two hundred-one of them. For the selection of the sample the aleatory simple method was used, the used variables were: age, sex, first sexual intercourses and level of knowledge. Results: the female sex prevailed during the study, the knowledge on STI/HIV/AIDS in the first survey was about 56,21% evaluated of regular, the 38,32% of bad and only the 5,42% of well. In the second survey it was obtained encouraging results after the educational interventions where 92,6% was evaluated of well and 7,4% of regular, none evaluated of bad. Conclusions: there was a bigger participation in the study of the female sex. A precocious beginning of sexual first intercourses was observed in the ages between twelve to fourteen years fundamentally in the masculine sex.
