摘要：Se realizó un estudio de intervención a los 12 médicos generales integrales (MGI) que laboran en los consultorios pertenecientes a la Clínica Estomatológica Docente Provincial "Ismael Clark y Mascaró" en Camagüey, desde octubre de 2004 a julio de 2005, con el objetivo de elevar su preparación para ejecutar el Programa Nacional del Cáncer Bucal. La investigación se dividió en tres fases: diagnóstica, intervención y evaluación. A partir del diagnóstico de necesidades de aprendizaje se pudo constatar el nivel de información que tenían los MGI sobre el programa, se diseñó un curso de entrenamiento con modalidad teórico-práctica y se evaluó la competencia y desempeño profesional del Médico General Integral. En los resultados obtenidos, el 58.3 % se autoevaluó erróneamente como bien informado al inicio. Después del entrenamiento, el 70 % mejoró de la categoría poco informado a bien. El desempeño profesional se catalogó como correcto entre el 80 y el 90 % de los médicos, lo que permitió elevar la preparación del MGI para ejecutar el programa de detección precoz del cáncer bucal Se elaboró un folleto didáctico como aporte adicional a la investigación.
其他摘要：An intervention study to 12 integral general practitioners (IGP) that labour at doctor's offices belonging to "Ismael Clark and Mascaró" Provincial Teaching Odontology Clinic of Camagüey, was performed from October 2004 to July 2005, with the objective to elevate their preparation to carry out the Oral Cancer National Program. The investigation was divided into three phases: diagnosis, intervention and evaluation. Departing from the learning needs diagnosis could be verified the level of information that had the IGP about the program, a course of trainingwith theoretical-practical modality was designed and the competence and professional performance of the IGP was evaluated. The obtained results, the 58.3% was erroneously self evaluated as well informed, at the beginning. After the training, the 70% improved the category of little informed to well. The professional performance was catalogued as correct between the 80 and 90% of doctors, what permitted to elevate the IGP preparation to perform the program of premature detection of the oral cancer (PDOC). A didactic booklet was devised as additional contribute to the investigation.
