摘要：Os comportamentos pró-sociais (CPS) são comportamentos voluntários com intenção de beneficiar outra pessoa. Este estudo identificou CPS em doze alunos com deficiência mental (DM), seis meninos e seis meninas, com idade média de 11 anos e 3 meses, que freqüentavam da 1ª à 4ª série de duas escolas públicas de Vitória-ES. Os participantes foram observados por 5 minutos durante seis recreios, contabilizando 30 minutos para cada participante. As categorias de análise foram: atividades relacionadas a objeto, lugar ou privilégio; ajuda; empatia e cooperação. Houve correlação entre emitir CPS e ser beneficiário desses comportamentos. Não houve diferença significativa entre meninos e meninas no total dos CPS e nas categorias destes. A maioria dos CPS não envolveu solicitação e todos os eventos conseqüentes foram de natureza positiva. Os CPS foram bons indicadores das interações dos alunos com DM, especialmente as interações envolvendo colegas com desenvolvimento típico.
其他摘要：Pro social behaviors (PSB) are voluntary actions with the aim of benefiting another individual. This study identified the PSB in 12 children with mental retardation (MR), 6 boys and 6 girls with a mean age of 11 years and 3 months who attended from first to forth grade at two schools in Vitória-ES. The participants were observed for 5 minutes during 6 school breaks (30 minutes for each participant). The analysis categories were: activities related to the object, place or privilege: helping; empathy and cooperation. There was a correlation between producing PSB and being benefited from these behaviors. There was no significant difference between boys and girls in the total amount and categories of PSB. Most of PSB did not involve requesting and all the consequent events came from a positive source. The PSB were good indicators of students' interactions with MR especially the ones involving peers with typical development.
