摘要：Este estudio monográfico intenta analizar un fenómeno social, mítico y ritual del área maya en la época precolombina (clásica como posclá- sica) : la importancia de los enanos. Utilizando materiales arqueológicos y etnográficos y un enfoque comparatista, el artículo se focaliza en el papel civilizador de los enanos, el simbolismo del rayo, la pertenencia de los enanos al complejo bacab y su ambigüedad genérica.
其他摘要：This study attempts to analyse a social, mythical and ritual phenomenon of the Maya area before the Spanish conquest (Classical and Postclassic): the importance of the dwarves. Using archaeological and ethnographical materials and a comparative approach, this article focuses on the civilizing role of the dwarves, the symbolism of the thunderbolt, the relationship of the dwarves to the bacab complex and its inherent ambiguity.
