摘要：Se presenta una perspectiva de un aspecto consustancial a la cadena de suministros: el problema de inventarios. Se definen los conceptos relevantes y mencionan los trabajos clave en el desarrollo de la especialidad. Se discuten los riesgos a los que está sometida la cadena de suministros en economías subdesarrolladas como la venezolana. Sobre la base de una muestra de la literatura científica producida en los últimos años, se describen los temas de investigación que han sido abordados desde el año 2000 al 2007. Finalmente, luego de notar la ausencia en la literatura del estudio de riesgos asociados con los inventarios, se sugieren cursos de investigación en el contexto venezolano, y por extensión, en el de otros países en vías de desarrollo con similares características.
其他摘要：This paper presents a perspective of a consubstantial aspect to the supply chain: the inventory problem. The relevant concepts are defined and it is mention the key works in the development of the subject. It is discussed the risks to which the supply chain is submitted in underdeveloped economies as the Venezuelan. On the base of a sample of the scientific literature produced in the last years, there are described the research topics that have been approached since 2000 to 2007. Finally, after noticing the absence in the literature of the study of risks associated with the inventories, lines of investigation are suggested in the Venezuelan context, and for extension, in that of other developing countries with similar characteristics.
