摘要：En este trabajo, circunscrito temporalmente a los cinco meses que duró el proceso constituyente en la España de 1869, me propongo examinar de qué manera los protagonistas de ese proceso concibieron la monarquía, con un particular hincapié en las fuentes doctrinales y normativas, españolas y extranjeras en las que se inspiraron, y cómo se plasmó esta concepción en el texto constitucional que aprobaron ese mismo año, sin duda el más avanzado de los que estuvieron en vigor en la España del siglo XIX y uno de los más progresistas de la Europa de ese siglo. No me interesa, pues, estudiar de manera pormenorizada la posición constitucional del rey, sino el modo de entender la institución monárquica en el nuevo contexto democrático que había abierto la Revolución de Septiembre, que sin duda marca un antes y un después en la historia del liberalismo español.
其他摘要：In this article, coming down to the five months of the constitutional process in the 1869’ Spain, I pretend to study how the Monarchy was thought by the main characters of this process, insisting on the doctrinal and normative sources (from Spain, as well as from other countries) that were used as inspiration. I will also study how this idea was expressed into the 1869 Constitution, the most progressive of all the valid constitutional codes of the Spanish XIXth Century, and one of the most progressive in Europe during that Century. My intention is not to study in detail the constitutional position of the King, but the way the Monarchy was thought into the new democratical context created through the September Revolution, essential in the history of Spanish liberalism.
