摘要：Há toda uma mitologia sobre a I República Portuguesa, e muito desconhecimento da sua Constituição, de 1911. O presente artigo pretende realçar alguns aspectos essenciais do contexto histórico da primeira constituição republicana portuguesa, e os traços mais salientes desta lei fundamental.
