摘要：Este trabajo se realizó en la EEPF ¨Cascajal¨sobre un suelo Alítico, con el objetivo de determinar la composición botánica de accesiones del género Brachiaria, después de haber completado la fase de evaluación agronómica. Se estudiaron dos colecciones, una de B. brizantha con 36 accesiones y otra formada por 30 accesiones de Brachiaria spp.; las especies y la cantidad de accesiones fueron: B. decumbens (14), B. dictyoneura (8), B. ruziziensis (3), B. humidicola (3), B. purpurascens (1) y B. arrecta (1). Se utilizó el método del metro cuadrado dividido en decímetros y la observación se hizo al final del período de evaluación. Se concluye que las colecciones de B. brizantha y Brachiaria spp. mostraron un buen cubrimiento de las parcelas, lo que representó un 85,9 y 80,0%, respectivamente, del total de las accesiones evaluadas.

Two collections were studied, one of B. brizantha with 36 accessions and the other made up by 30 accessions of Brachiaria spp.; the species and quantity of accessions were: B. decumbens (14), B. dictyoneura (8), B. ruziziensis (3), B. humidicola (3), B. purpurascens (1) and B. arrecta (1). The method of the square meter divided into decimeters was used and the observation was carried out at the end of the evaluation period. The collections of B. brizantha and Brachiaria spp. were concluded to show good covering of the plots, which represented 85,9 and 80,0%, respectively, of the total of the evaluated accessions.
