摘要：Este artículo estudia el papel de la letra de cambio en las transferencias del dinero procedente del pago de las rentas reales de Canarias a la Real Hacienda. En nuestro caso, la renta fiscal que motiva el empleo de las letras son las tercias reales. Se trata de uno de los ingresos más significativos de la Corona, especialmente en las Islas, al estar exentos los insulares de buena parte de la fiscalidad regia. La fuente utilizada en esta investigación son los protocolos notariales, y las letras que se han podido localizar avalan la proyección de la plaza financiera isleña en el escenario internacional.
其他摘要：This article explores the role that the bill of exchange played in the transfer of tax money from the Canary Islands to the Royal Treasury. In this case, the bill of exchange was used to transfer the «tercias reales» income tax, which was one of the most important of the Royal Treasury, especially on the islands. This was important, as the people were exempt from the major part of the income tax of the Royal Treasury. The research carried out is based on the notarial documents, and the bills of exchange prove the islands projection in the international finance.
