摘要：En el presente estudio se analizan las claves de la visita de Alfonso XIII a Canarias en 1906. Aquel viaje no fue uno más de los múltiples desplazamientos que el monarca efectuó por toda la geografía del Reino. Su significación posee un sentido más hondo que está vinculado a objetivos de interés nacional y a la inserción de la posición española en el nuevo marco internacional que trajo el inicio del siglo XX. En aquella etapa, Canarias se situó en el mismo eje del área de encuentro que impuso la frontera euroafricana. Ello supuso una revalorización estratégica del Archipiélago. Una circunstancia que se puso de manifiesto con el viaje real.
其他摘要：This paper analyses the keys of Alfonso XIII's visit to the Canary Islands in 1906. That trip was not one more of the many journeys the monarch made around the kingdom's geography. Its meaning has a deeper sense which is related to national interest objectives and to the insertion of the Spanish position in the new international frame brought by the beginning of the XX Century. During that time, the Canary Islands were placed in the very axe of the meeting point imposed by the Euro-African border. That fact meant a strategic revalorisation of the Archipelago. A circumstance showed with the royal trip.
