摘要：El presente artículo es una revisión historiográfica en torno a las principales propuestas teóricas relativas a la independencia de Venezuela, así como su posible relación desde el punto de vista de la Historia Atlántica. La idea es presentar un estado de la cuestión y extraer del mismo algunas sendas interpretativas para futuros desarrollos.
