摘要：El artículo indaga acerca del proceso de formación y sedimentación histórica del mito del "país potencia" en Argentina y, más específicamente, en la configuración de este mito dentro del discurso menemista. Para ello, se centra en una perspectiva de análisis del discurso con eje en alocuciones emitidas por Carlos Menem durante su primer periodo de gobierno (1989-1995). Según sostiene, a partir de la instauración y el éxito del Plan de Convertibilidad, en 1991, el menemismo logrará incorporar exitosamente a su discurso neoliberal esta tradición mítica parcialmente sedimentada. En ese contexto, concluye que el mito del país potencia contribuirá a legitimar y consolidar tanto las reformas neoliberales como la propia hegemonía menemista.
其他摘要：The article investigates about the process of formation and historical sedimentation of the myth of the potency country in Argentina and, more specifically, the configuration of this myth within the menemist speech. For it, one concentrates in a perspective of analysis of the speech with axis in speeches emitted by Carlos Menem during his first period of government (1989-1995). According to it maintains, from the restoration and the success of the Plan of Convertibility, in 1991, the menemism will manage to successful incorporate to its neoliberal speech this mythical tradition partially settled. In that context, it concludes that the myth of the country power will contribute to legitimate and to consolidate as the neoliberal reforms as the menemist hegemony.
