摘要：Na perspectiva da História dos Impressos atrelada a História Cultural, este artigo tem por objeto de análise registros documentais e bibliográficos acerca de impressos católicos e protestantes no Brasil colonial com o objetivo de investigar sua circulação e a difusão de idéias. Baseando-se no método de investigação histórico, este artigo traz à historiografia brasileira, livros, leitores e livrarias bem como o modus operandi dos livreiros que contribuíram com a transmissão de saberes religiosos no país e com as distintas comunidades de leitores originarias não somente de congregação religiosa, dos estudantes e dos letrados, mas de leigos que se interessavam e faziam circular idéias em distintos suportes para além do livro.
其他摘要：In the perspective of history tied to the printed Cultural History, this article focuses on analysis of documentary records and bibliographic printed about Catholics and Protestants in colonial Brazil with the aim of investigating its circulation and diffusion of ideas. Based on the method of historical research this article brings Brazilian historiography, books, bookstores and readers as well as booksellers the modus operandi that contributed to the transmission of religious knowledge in the country and with different communities of readers originating not only from religious congregation, of students and scholars, but lay people who cared and did circulate ideas in different media beyond the book.
