摘要：Este ensaio aborda reflexões sobre trânsito a partir da tragédia de Antígona, de Sófocles. A riqueza e a profundidade dessa tragédia permitem extrair metáforas para orientar debates sobre as situações de conflito que permeiam o cotidiano do trânsito. O texto está estruturado em quatro tópicos; a) a síntese da tragédia, para que possam ser identificados os elementos que orientam as reflexões; b) considerações sobre quem é o outro na tragédia e no espaço do trânsito; c) discussão sobre a articulação entre espaço público e espaço privado no cotidiano do trânsito; e d) diálogo entre aspectos do comportamento individual que permitem desenvolver um comportamento coletivo, demandado pelas múltiplas interações que emergem no espaço público do trânsito. As reflexões sintetizam metáforas que indicam a importância de orientar as ações no trânsito, destacando a compreensão da rede de consequências de decisões e de ações quando negligenciam a interação com o outro e a repercussão para a própria sobrevivência. São indicadas três di- mensões dessas reflexões: o conflito pode gerar morte; há diferentes maneiras de compreender as ações de um e de outro personagem; é a reflexão compartilhada que permite incorporar o ponto de vista do outro.
其他摘要：This paper discusses the traffic based on the tragedy of Antigone, by Sophocles. The richness and the depth of this tragedy allow metaphors to guide discussions on the conflict inside the everyday traf- fic. The text is structured around four main topics, from the context in which this subject belongs; a) the synthesis of the tragedy, so that the elements that guide our reflections can be identified; b) considerations about who is the “other” in the tragedy and in the traffic environment; c) discussion about the relationship between public space and private space in daily traffic; and d) dialogue among aspects of individual behavior that lead to the development of a collective behavior, demanded by the multiple interactions that emerge in traffic. Finally, from the reflections we have undertaken, some of the teachings could be summarized, indicating the importance of guiding the actions in the traffic network to enhance the understanding of the consequences of decisions and actions that neglect the importance of the “other” for our own survival. There are three dimensions: the conflict can cause death; there are different ways to understand the ac- tions of one and another character; it is the shared reflection that allows the incorporation of the point of view of the other person.
