摘要：A morte interdita e a escancarada convivem no século XXI. Crianças e jovens podem ter a morte no seu cotidiano, pela perda de pessoas significativas, pela violência e pelos meios de comunicação. A morte invade também o contexto escolar, com crianças e jovens enlutados ou mortes que ocorrem nas instituições de educação. O artigo discute como a instituição escolar e os educadores veem a morte e sua implicação neste processo, suas necessidades e dificuldades. São apresentadas propostas para inclusão do tema da morte nas atividades pedagógicas regulares ou em instituições especiais e na formação de educadores.
其他摘要：Death, both hidden and wide open, live together in the XXI century. Children and young people face death in their daily lives by seeing the loss of significant relatives by living under violence and by viewing and hearing the media. Death also pervades the school environment with children and young people bereaved or because of deaths that occur in educational institutions. In this article we discuss how the school and educators see death. We study their involvement in this process, their needs and difficulties. We make proposal for inclusion of this theme the regular educational activities or in special institutions and teacher education.
