摘要：Se investigó la actitud hacia los límites sociales en 424 jóvenes, hombres y mujeres de 12 a 21 años, estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria de diversas escuelas en varias localidades del Valle de Toluca. Se aplicó la versión mexicana de la Escala para Medir la Actitud hacia los Límites Sociales. Los resultados indican que las reacciones de ajustarse y transgredir son las más conocidas, pero en lagran mayoría de las situaciones donde se presenta un límite social los jóvenes de ambos sexos prefieren acatar las reglas establecidas. La tendencia a no transgredir los límites coincide con los hallazgos de investigaciones realizadas en otros países, utilizando el mismo instrumento. Se concluye que es necesario revisar y corregir la imagen popular que retrata a los adolescentes y jóvenes como problemáticos, conflictivos y rebeldes sin causa
其他摘要：The purpose of the research was to analyze the attitude towards the social limits of youngsters aged from 12 to 21 years. The sample included 424 male and female high school students from different schools in several locations in the city of Toluca and its surroundings. The Mexican version of the Scale for Measuring the Attitude Towards Social Limits was administered. The results show that adjusting and overstepping are the best known reactions, but the youngs-ters of both sexes prefer to obey the existing rules in the vast majority of the situations which a social limit is involved. The tendency to not overstep limits coincides with the findings of research carried out in other countries, using the same instrument. It is concluded that it is necessary to review and to correct the popular image which portraits adolescents and youngsters as problematic, conflictive, and rebels without a cause.
