摘要：A fin de explorar la relación entre la percepción de los niños acerca de las verbalizaciones y las preocupaciones de sus madres hacia la apariencia física, los estereotipos corporales y la tendencia hacia la estigmatización de la obesidad, se entrevistó a 168 menores, con edades de entre 7 y 11 años, a quienes se les aplicaron tres cuestionarios diseñados ex profeso para evaluar su percepción acerca de la preocupación de sus madres por la apariencia física propia, indagar su sensación acerca de la preocupación de sus madres por la apariencia física de ellos y conocer su percepción acerca de las verbalizaciones maternas sobre el peso corporal y la apariencia física en general; también respondieron la Prueba de Figuras Corporales de Collins. Los hallazgos indican correlaciones entre la percepción de verbalizaciones negativas acerca de la gordura y valoraciones negativas hacia la obesidad, y entre la percepción de la preocupación materna por la propia apariencia con la evaluación positiva de las figuras delgadas y la de verbalizaciones respecto al peso. Lo anterior permite concluir que a mayor cantidad de verbalizaciones negativas hacia el peso y la obesidad por parte de las madres, y a mayor preocupación de ellas por su propia figura, los niños generan estereotipos más negativos asociados a la figura corporal.
其他摘要：In order to explore the relationship between children’s perceptions about mothers’ verbalizations and concerns about physical appearance, with their body stereotypes and their tendency toward the stigmatization of obesity, 168 boys and girls were interviewed. They were between 7 and 11 years old. Three questionnaires ex profeso-designed were applied to them: One to evaluate their perception about their mothers’ own physical appearance concern; another one to investigate their perception about their mothers’ children-directed physical appearance concerns, and the last one in order to know their perception about their mothers’ verbalizations concerning the body weight and physical appearance in general. Additionally, the Collins’ body shape drawings task was responded. Findings indicate correlations between the perception of negative verbalizations about fatness and negative evaluations of obesity, and between the perception of mothers’ own physical concern with the positive evaluation of thin shapes, and with the perception of verbalizations in relation to the body weight. This allows to conclude that the greater the mothers negative verbalizations about the body weight and obesity are, and the greater the mothers physical appearance concerns are, the greater is the generation of negative stereotypes on the part of children in relation with the body shape.
