摘要：El presente artículo aborda los aspectos históricos relativos a la implantación en 1941 y la posterior evolución del amparo de garantías constitucionales como institución de garantía de los derechos fundamentales en la República de Panamá. En ese sentido, examina en detalle las disposiciones constitucionales y legales que regulan esa institución en el ordenamiento jurídico panameño actual, y concluye con la revisión de las peculiaridades del desarrollo jurisprudencial del amparo, en particular el de la Corte Suprema de Justicia de Panamá.
其他摘要：This article presents the historical aspects concerning the implementation in 1941 and the subsequent evolution of the protection of the constitutional guarantees as an institution of fundamental rights guaranteed in the Republic of Panama. In that sense it is discussed in detail the constitutional and legal provisions regulating the institution in the current Panamanian law, and the article concludes with the revision of the peculiarities of jurisprudential development of this safeguard, in particular the Supreme Court of Justice.
