其他摘要：To reflect on the theme of religion and geography in the context of Af rican continent implies in launching an eye to the diverse forms in which humans comprehe nd and relate to the Sacred, with supernatural. Implies also in comprehending the symbol ic representations which become communicative for many religious sentiments lived by the communities. We encounter many symbols of sacred expressed in the oral tradition which are for tified with the constant practice have become not only the religious force but also one str ong instrument of identity preservation and of the resistance for the territorial conflicts, which include the attempts of domination from the part of strong foreign forces. The religi ons, their ancestral cults, their orixás, represent not only the divinized body of the nature, but a lso the possibilities of preservation of dignity of different peoples inhabit Africa.
