摘要：Tolerancia, pluralismo, diversidad, interculturalismo, son conceptos que a pesar de su amplia difusión y puesta en boga en los análisis sociopolíticos de la última década, hoy en día deben ser revalorados desde una perspectiva que asuma por completo su propia historicidad, contraria a los postulados universalistas en los que comúnmente se les envuelve. Con ello se abre la posibilidad de imaginar y construir una sociedad democrática en donde el reconocimiento y aceptación de la otredad sea el centro de la convivencia social. Punto central en esa agenda es la aceptación de la trascendencia que el cambio en lo individual (la primera de todas las identidades) tendrá en la construcción de esa cultura democrática; en todo ello la educación y sus agentes (los docentes) deberán jugar un rol predominante.
其他摘要：Though the concepts of tolerance, pluralism, diversity and interculturalism are widely diffused and have been in vogue in the social and political analyses of the last decade, they must now be re-evaluated from a perspective that takes into account its own historicity, because such concepts contradict the universalistic postulates in which they are commonly presented. This would open the possibility of imagining and constructing a democratic society in which the recognition and acceptance of otredad (otherness) would be the center of living together socially. The central point in this agenda is the acceptance of the primacy that the changing of the individual (the first of all identities) will have in the construction of this democratic culture. Education and its agents (teachers) will have to play an important role in all of this.
