摘要:One of the most important consequences of the presence of information technologies in contemporaiy society is the effect they have on tlie construction of the identities of the youngest generations. The perspective for studying this phenomenon derive from those who understand identity as a solid nucleus that has its basis in the idea of nationalism; another problematic is tliat of the postmodernist theorists who are discontent with the concept of identification as well as by that of identity because, even tliough there exist certain solid nuclei, the identificatory complex is not stable. How are identities affected by the mobility of borders? What is the role of information technologies in theses processes? But above all, and here is the purpose of this article, how to take the pulse of this reality? That is to say, how to methodologically approach this emergent phenomenon. The bet is on a methodological package that combines quantitative and qualitative techniques. The design of this strategy allows complementarity of information and vigilance in the manner of obtaining data.
