摘要:A descriptive and reflexive exercize on the theoretical and methodological form in wliich studies on film in Mexico liave been carried out. Tlie scant attention to film tliat lias been given by investigators in communications is due to two fundamental reasons: on one hand, when communications research in Mexico begins in a more fonnal way, the presence of television displaced the interest of investigators from other media like radio and film, considering them little importance or priority in their research agendas; and, on tlie other liand, the theoretical and methodological approaches with wliich tliey begin to woik and with wliich they have been working the length of the liistory of communications research in the countiy, also liave not been considered important. Thus, the question about tliat wliich lias been studied in Mexican film is pertinent and necessary, hence speaks of what we have seen to much cuid of what we liave stopped seeing.
