摘要：En el artículo se realiza una crítica de las principales interpretaciones sobre la identidad cultural latinoamericana, mostrando sus mayores dificultades conceptuales y teóricas. Se concluye señalando algunas propuestas para reenfocar el tema desde una perspectiva sociológica más compleja y actual.
