摘要：Este artículo muestra la relación del tipo de cambio euro-dólar desde que el euro empezó a circular. Específicament e, después de considerar algunos elementos teóricos que determinan el tipo d e cambio, explica los principales hechos que llevaron a que el euro a partir de octubre de 2000 revertiera su tendencia decreciente frente al dólar y qué aspectos están influyendo en la actualidad sobre su desempeño, lle gando a la conclusión que no es posible establecer un modelo que pondere las variables de forma racional y significativa, haciendo que el comportamiento del tipo de cambio no pueda ser explicado en su totalidad por la teoría económica existente.
其他摘要：This paper shows the relation of exchange rate euro- dollar since euro began to circulate. It considers some element s theoretical that determine the exchange rate and explain the main facts that took to that euro as of october of 2000 revertiera their decreasing tendency front to the dollar, also describe the aspects are influencing at the present time the ir performance, reaching the conclusion that is not possible to establish a mode l that weighs the variables of rational and significant form, being done that t he behavior of the exchange rate cannot be explained in its totality by the exi sting economic theory.
