Na primavera de 1983 saía o ensaio La communauté désœuvrée na revista Alea (n° 4), posteriormente (em 1986) incluído no volume homônimo com dois outros ensaios. Tratase de escrever ali como aqui “em comunidade com Georges Bataille”. “Escrever” se escre- vendo nesse caso a partir do lugar de uma exterioridade marcada pelo pre-fixo ex, portanto excrever. Escrito, como “excrito” (excrit), a que se junta o sentido homófono de “ex-grito” (cri, em francês). Escrever, para Georges Bataille, ou excrever, implica em um equívoco essencial: escreve-se sempre o grito (e não “sobre” o grito), a vida, a “coisa em si”, o ser, ou seja, aquilo que por definição não se escreve, que prescinde e exclui qual- quer possiblidade de escrever. In the Spring 1983, came out the essay La communauté désœuvrée ( The Inoperative Com - munity ), in the magazine Alea (n. 4), later (in 1986) included in the homonymous volume, with two other essays. What is at stake in both instances is writing “in community with Georges Bataille”. “Writing” written in this case in an exterior locus marked by the prefix ex, therefore “ex-cription” ( excrire ). Writing, as “excription” ( excrit ), to which is added the homonophic meaning of “shouting” or “crying” ( cri , to shout, in French). Writing for Georges Bataille, or “excribing” ( excrire ), points towards an essentially equivocal meaning: one always writes the cry and not “about” the cry, life, the “thing itself ”, Being, which means, that which by definition cannot be written, that which precludes and excludes any possibility of writing. Ex-crit (“excribed”) however does not refer to a referent such as, for example, Georges Bataille’s life, but to something which inscribes itself (or excribes) always and only in the excription.
