摘要：Esse trabalho revisita dois momentos críticos do pacto hermenêutico pela busca de sentido, através do mito de Fausto, nas obras clássicas de Johannn Wolfgang Goethe (1808) e de Thomas Mann (1947), apontando para elaborações distintivas nas diferentes etapas desse drama. Trata-se de apontar elementos numa formulação híbrida entre os modelos literários e a crítica científico-acadêmica que permitem o questionamento de padrões do discurso humanista enquanto processo de homogeneização discursiva. Num primeiro momento, no painel da literatura alemã novecentista, se perscruta, através do Fausto de Goethe, alguns dos principais pilares de desconfiança em relação a uma razão discursiva ascendente. Em um segundo momento, em plena Segunda Guerra Mundial, através do Dr. Fausto de Thomas Mann, o pacto da Razão estabelece a complexa moldura hermenêutica onde se ensaia o lamento paradoxal da modernidade.
其他摘要：This work revisits two critical moments of the hermeneutic pact in the search for meaning through the myth of Faust in the classic works by Johannn Wolfgang Goethe (1808) and Thomas Mann (1947), pointing to distinct developments in the different stages of the drama. Elements are appointed in a hybrid formulation between the literary models and scientific-academic criticism, in order to question the standards of humanist discourse as a process of discursive homogenization. First, in the presentation of twentieth-century German literature, some of the main principles of a distrust of a rising discursive rationalism are examined through Goethe’s Faust. Second, the pact of reason present in Thomas Mann’s Dr. Faustus establishes, in the middle of the Second World War, the complex hermeneutic mould where the paradoxical lament of modernity is evidenced.
