摘要：O presente estudo investigou o bebê imaginário e as expectativas quanto ao futuro do filho em gestantes adolescentes e adultas. Participaram 21 gestantes primíparas, sendo 11 adolescentes e 10 adultas. Por meio de uma entrevista individual investigou-se a reação inicial quanto ao sexo do bebê, o processo de escolha do nome, as características físicas e emocionais imaginadas, bem como as expectativas quanto ao jeito de ser e ao futuro. De modo geral, as adolescentes revelaram maior dificuldade para descrever suas percepções sobre o bebê do que as adultas. Além disso, suas expectativas quanto ao futuro do bebê estavam muito ligadas ao desejo de não repetição de sua própria história de gravidez precoce, o que não apareceu entre as adultas. Apesar de algumas diferenças, a expectativa inicial, que sugeria diferenças expressivas entre os grupos, foi pouco corroborada, pois muitas semelhanças apareceram entre os grupos.
其他摘要：The present study investigated the imaginary baby and the expectations regarding the childs future in adolescent and adult pregnant women. Twenty-one pregnant women took part in the study, eleven of which were adolescents and ten adults. Through an individual interview, the pregnant womens initial reaction regarding the babys sex was investigated, together with the choice of his/her name, the babys imagined physical and emotional characteristics, as well as their expectations concerning his/her future. In general, the adolescents revealed greater difficulty in describing their perceptions regarding the baby than the adults. Moreover, their expectations concerning the babys future were associated to the wish to not repeat their own history of early pregnancy, which did not appear among the adults. In spite of some differences, the initial expectation of expressive differences between the groups received little support as many similarities appeared between the groups.
