摘要：Se reflexiona sobre el lugar que debe ocupar la biblioteca escolar frente al desafío de la sociedad del conocimiento, específicamente sobre su contribución en el desarrollo de actitudes hacia el conocimiento y la investigación en los niños y jóvenes, entendiendo que en estos momentos adquiere una importancia creciente, la relación entre educación-información-conocimiento-investigación, y precisamente uno de los espacios donde esta relación se puede materializar es en la biblioteca escolar, concebida desde una perspectiva dinámica, interactiva y participativa, desde la cual pueden diseñarse estrategias orientadas hacia la formación de un ciudadano preparado para enfrentarse a los retos sociales actuales. La reflexión se basa en los planteamientos de Pérez-Esclarín (1994, 1997 y 1999), Cartier, (1992), UNESCO (1996 y 1997), Ocando (1997), Moreno (1998), Sánchez (1998), Capurro (2000), Rodríguez-Rojas (2001), Savater (2001) y Gardner (2001). Se finaliza con una propuesta de lineamientos para construir un modelo de biblioteca escolar, como centro de información mediador y potenciador de aprendizajes y actitudes cognitivas e investigativas en la Educación Básica.
其他摘要：This paper considers the place that the school library should occupy with regard to the challenge of the learning community and specifically its contribution to developing attitudes toward knowledge and research in children and young people. Currently, the education-informationknowledge- research relationship is increasingly important, and the school library is one of the places where this relationship can be developed. If the library is conceived of as dynamic, interactive and participative it can serve as the basis of strategies oriented towards the formation of a citizen ready to face the current challenges of society. The ideas are based on the proposals of Pérez-Esclarín (1994, 1997 and 1999), Cartier (1992), UNESCO (1996 and 1997), Ocando (1997), Moreno (1998), Sánchez (1998), Capurro (2000), Rodríguez-Rojas (2001), Savater (2001) and Gardner (2001). The paper concludes with proposals for constructing a model school library that would be an information center; the mediator and facilitator for learning and cognitive and research attitudes in Basic Education.
