摘要：Aunque es ignorada por muchos, la filosofía puertorriqueña tiene una larga historia que va desde la Escolástica en el período colonial hasta el período tardomoderno en nuestros días. Este ensayo propone y bosqueja las distintas etapas de la filosofía en Puerto Rico y ofrece resúmenes breves sobre algunas de sus figuras principales. En él se examinan expresiones particulares del existencialismo vitalista, la epistemología, y la filosofía de la educación entre otras áreas del saber filosófico y humanístico en general
其他摘要：Even though it is not known by many, Puerto Rican philosophy has a long history that goes back to Scholasticism in colonial times and extends to our own late modern period. This essay proposes an outline of the different stages of philosophy in Puerto Rico and offers brief summaries of some of its most representative figures. It also examines particular expressions of existential Vitalism, epistemology, and philosophy of education among other areas of philosophical and humanistic knowledge in general
