摘要：El objetivo del artículo es mostrar y cuantificar que en cada entidad federativa la industria manufacturera presenta características distintas; sin embargo, las 32 entidades federativas pueden clasificarse en tres modelos diferentes y, en consecuencia, resulta más fácil identificar las características heterogéneas de cada región. Se calculan las elasticidades de la producción respecto del capital y trabajo, y se calculan niveles tecnológicos según el modelo que mejor represente a la entidad federativa en el periodo 1988-1998.
其他摘要：The Mexican manufacturing sector has always been characterized by the impact it has had, on Mexicos economy; because of its economic growth. For that reason, it is interesting to analyze it from an econometric point of view. Particularly so, on using the longitudinal data methodology. The attraction of this method is to be found in the fact that, on analyzing the structure of combined data, certain phenomena are discovered, that would not be possible to identify if only data from a transversal section, or time series data were to be used separately. The articles objective is to show, and quantify, the distinct characteristics of the manufacturing industry in each of Mexicos 32 federal states. As these have to be classified according to three different models, as a result, it is easier to identify the heterogeneous characteristics of each region. The production elasticities with respect to capital and labor are calculated, as also the technological levels, according to the model that best represents each state during the period 1988-1998.
