摘要：Con el propósito de determinar si existe variación en crecimiento (altura y diámetro) entre tres procedencias (Misantla, La Antigua y Catemaco) y veinte familias de Cedrela odorata L., se evaluó una prueba de procedencias/progenie establecida en el municipio de Emiliano Zapata, Ver., los resultados muestran que no existen diferencias significativas entre procedencias ni entre familias anidadas en procedencias, las principales diferencias se presentaron entre los bloques establecidos en el ensayo tanto para altura como diámetro; el incremento medio anual en la altura de los árboles en toda la prueba fue de 1.01 m/año, con un mínimo de 0.94 y máximo de 1.05; el diámetro tuvo un incremento medio anual de 1.4 cm/año con un mínimo de 1.30 y máximo de 1.62, por lo que debemos recurrir a la selección individual para procesos de mejoramiento sucesivos con la base genética establecida en la presente prueba.
