摘要：Dentro del marco de la Asamblea Constituyente instalada en el Ecuador desde noviembre del 2007, este artículo discute los mecanismos que han asumido los pueblos indígenas de la Sierra y la Amazonía frente al Estado en la búsqueda por concretar sus demandas de inclusión. El texto analiza cómo estos mecanismos develan concepciones diferentes frente al tema, producto de experiencias históricas y geográficas diferentes, las cuales oscilan entre la asimilación por un lado, y la diferenciación, por otro.
其他摘要：This article discusses the mechanisms used by Amazonian and highland indigenous communities in their effort to consolidate demands for political inclusion, within the context of the Constituent Assembly initiated in Ecuador in November 2007. The author analyses the way in which these mechanisms reveal distinct approaches to the concept of inclusion, itself a product of distinct historical and geographical experiences; and how the notion of inclusion oscillates between assimilation on the one hand, and differentiation on the other.
