摘要：Esta investigación aborda la relación entre lengua y poder en el estado Táchira desde la perspectiva sociolingüística del estudio de las actitudes. Ante la presunción generalizada de que el modelo de las hablas andinas venezolanas se halla bien en los dialectos de las tierras altas colombianas, bien en las de la región central venezolana, se ha medido, mediante aplicación de un instrumento diseñado para los fines específicos de este trabajo, la actitud de los tachirenses hacia variedades dialectales de ambos lados de la frontera. Los resultados muestran que la referencia de prestigio de los tachirenses no está en hablas foráneas sino en las propias andinas, lo cual refleja, desde una perspectiva más general, la complejidad de la construcción de la identidad del venezolano fronterizo
其他摘要：This investigation deals with the relationship between language and power in Táchira state with a sociolinguistic perspective of the study of attitudes. It is generally thought that the model of spoken Andean from Venezuela originates in the dialects of the Colombian highlands or in the Venezuelan central region. Nevertheless, in this work the attitude of the Táchira speakers has measured up towards both dialects and the results show that these speakers do not meet the prestige in the foreign speech but, in fact, they meet it in their own Andean way of speaking. This situation reflects the complex construction of the identity of the Venezuelan frontier
