摘要：La dinámica funcional y de conectividad dentro de un espacio geográfico está estrechamente vinculada con el sistema de transporte vial, el cual demanda de una infraestructura acorde con las necesidades de intercambio de servicios, bienes y personas. En un espacio geográfico fronterizo interconectado como es el caso entre San Cristóbal (Venezuela) y Cúcuta (Colombia) la relación funcional entre ambos polos metropolitanos está determinada por el estado actual de la vialidad y el flujo de transporte entre las partes, el cual sigue el patrón de vías tradicional. Este estudio persigue interpretar la dinámica del sistema de transporte en la zona de frontera que afecta la conectividad y accesibilidad en el espacio fronterizo tachirense. El método es de carácter descriptivo y explicativo, con una estrategia de diseño de tipo documental y de campo. Los resultados demuestran la importancia histórica del eje fronterizo en la integración regional y de bisagra al resto de los territorios nacionales, entre ambos países. Las políticas territoriales y de transporte recientes en Venezuela evidencian la preocupación por la búsqueda de sistemas alternos de transporte a nivel nacional y la definición de proyectos estratégicos en beneficio de la integración suramericana, particularmente para este cruce fronterizo tarea aún pendientes por ejecutar.
其他摘要：Functional dynamic and connectivity into a geographical space is closely related to the system of road transport, it demand an infrastructure according to the needs of services, goods and people exchanges. In a geographical space interconnected as it is the case of San Cristobal (Venezuela) and Cucuta (Colombia) the functional relationship between both Metropolitans centers is determined by the current state of the roads and the transport flows among the parties. This paper aims to interpret the dynamics of the transport system in the border area that affects connectivity and accessibility in the Táchira border space. Method is descriptive and explanatory, with a documentary and fieldwork design strategy. Results showed the historical importance of this border area in the regional integration process that act as pivot to connect the borderland with both of the national territories. Recent territorial and transport policies in Venezuela demonstrate concern for the search of alternate systems of transport at the national level and the definition of strategic projects for the benefit of South American integration process, particularly for this border crossing task not even reach.
